Nürburgring Nordschleife Bans Motorcycles – Protest Planned on March 8

Well, folks, it finally happened. The Nürburgring Nordschleife—aka the Green Hell, aka the world's most famous playground for speed junkies—has just dropped a bombshell: motorcycles are no longer welcome during public 'Touristenfahrten' sessions. Yep, you read that right. One of the most legendary tracks on the planet just slammed the door on bikers, citing safety concerns.

Apparently, someone in a suit and tie decided that mixing cars and motorcycles on a track designed to be more terrifying than your first wheelie attempt was a bad idea. Something about “driving dynamics,” “misunderstandings,” and “crumple zones” (which, to be fair, bikers don’t really have unless you count our bones).

What Does This Mean?

No more spontaneous, wallet-draining trips to the Nürburgring just to test whether your knee sliders are up for the challenge. From now on, motorcycles are only allowed on the Nordschleife during two special sessions per year. Two. Whole. Sessions. That’s like telling a caffeine addict they can only have two espressos per year.

Bikers Aren’t Taking This Lying Down

As you can imagine, the motorcycle community is about as happy as a Harley rider stuck behind a Prius. So, what do bikers do when they’re unhappy? They organize a protest!

On March 8, as the first Touristenfahrten session of 2025 kicks off, bikers will gather at the Nürburgring to let their voices be heard (and probably rev their engines a little louder than necessary). If you believe that two wheels should still have a place in the Green Hell, this is the time to show up.

So, what’s next? Are they gonna ban knee-down cornering? Limit track days to 30 km/h? We say NO! If you love motorcycles and hate ridiculous rules, mark March 8 on your calendar and get ready to make some noise.

Stay fast, stay loud, and see you at the protest!
