June 21 is traditionally considered the longest day of the year.
For the Italian journalist Valerio Boni that is becoming real today.
Boni will try to drive from Malmö in Sweden to the MV headquarters in Schiranna within 24 hours.

As if that distance in itself is not enough, Boni also makes a few wanderings.
He wants to set a new world record by becoming the first motorcyclist ever to visit 11 different countries.
Those eleven different countries are: Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein and of course Italy.
Boni is also targetting to kill a couple more birds with one stone by attempting to gain the SaddleSore 1600K and SaddleSore 2000K certifications from the Iron Butt Association.

The total length of this monster day trip is about 2,000 km.
The highly experienced Valerio Boni, will use an MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso SCS for this world record attempt.
This deluxe version of MV Agusta's high-speed touring machine was given a specially designed stylish livery for the occasion.
