Poison green turns red to celebrate

Kawasaki's Z family celebrates its 50th anniversary. Big party! Or as they say in Japan: Ōkina pātī.
In honor of this anniversary, limited edition versions based on the Z650, Z650RS, Z900 and Z900RS will be released.
They all receive the designation '50th Anniversary' and they all have the color red as a theme. Why red and not green?
Simple: the color red was often used for Kawasaki's in the past. Just think of the Z1100GP.

Kawasaki Z900
Let's start with the most popular naked bike - the Kawasaki Z900.
As the Z900 50th Anniversary, it will be given the color Firecracker Red, a nod to the Z1100GP, a mighty air-cooled Z from the 80s.
It is a characteristic color for Kawasaki models from that era.
What else stands out? Just look at the gold-colored front fork, a glossy black frame, special saddles and various Anniversary logos.

Kawasaki Z650
The Z650 is the lighter brother of the Z900, but the decoration is broadly the same.
The Z650 50th Anniversary also has red paint, dark blue and silver striping, gold Z-emblems, red wheels, special leather seats and an anniversary logo on the front fender.

Kawasaki Z650RS & Z900RS
With the introduction of the Z900RS, Kawasaki showed all its love for detail and respect for the past.
These models have a Candy Diamond Brown livery. Other features include a gloss black frame, gold wheels, grab rail and a special saddle.
To complete the picture, the model is equipped with Z50th Anniversary and ornate Double Overhead Camshaft (DOHC) emblems all around.
