Dakar Rally inspired bikes you can build

The dust has only just settled at the finish in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The top 3 in the motorcycle category are very close finishers, less than 7 minutes apart.
On a total of 680km of sand, dunes and endless dust, this is really close racing.

As you may know, Sam Sunderland from the UK from the GasGas Factory racing team is the overall winner, having traveled for 38 hours, 47 minutes and 30 seconds.
Just after Sam, Chile's Pablo Quintanilla, from the Monster Energy Honda stable, was only 3 min and 27 seconds slower.
Third, Matthias Walkner crossed the finish line in his Red Bull KTM, 6 min 47 seconds from the leader.

After following and reading this epic race, have you been looking at your enduro or dirt bike in the garage and dreaming of achieving the same look?
We all do. Here are some possibilities:

If you want reliability, but also that old-school look, then the Crispy Club conversion kit is for you.
We take a new Ténéré 700 and put new plastic on it, based on a 1986 XT600Z.

In the kit you will find a set of radiator covers, a modified bracket for the counter, extra fairing, a nice retro LED headlight and high front and rear fenders.
There are two of these Heritage 700 kits available, priced differently and available in four colors.
Crispy Club claims the kit is ready to assemble right out of the box.

If you want something even more special, then you have to go to the men and women of CCM who created the CCM Spitfire Scrambler.
The special build is in fact a true tribute to Gaston Rahier and to the BMW G / S80 four times victorious in the most famous and toughest Rally in the world.
The basis is that of the well-known 550 cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine with 55 HP and 58 Nm of torque, but the changes, not only aesthetic, are numerous compared to the starting model.

Marzocchi USD forks, combined with a Brembo braking system,  the lower guards, the obligatoir gigantic fuel tank, finished off in a specially made fairing and which unquestionably has an 80s soul.
Michelin tires complete the set-up on 21 and 18-inch wheels, the Renthal handlebars, the new triple clamps and the saddle in the classic black and white colors to almost perfectly emulate the BMW winning in 1985.

If you prefer something more up to date than the older (looking) models above, there are still the rally kits from RebelXSports.

The still relatively young company, founded in 2012, has been an indispensable part of the Dakar or other world championship rallies since 2014.
So not only show, but also parts that make your bike significantly more competitive on challenging terrain.
Their range includes rally kits for a KTM 790, EXC 450 & 500, Husqvarna FE, Yamaha WR450F and KTM 690 Enduro.

In addition to these rally kits, they also make all kinds of equipment for, among other things, the same Ténéré 700 or a Honda CRF450L.
Nav equipment, bashplats, carbon parts, fuel tanks, rally seat covers, you name it, they have it to complete your dream machine.

Plenty of choice in our opinion, the only limiting factor in any build is the finances or lack off.
