As we reported earlier this week, KTM has finally introduced their new track-only racing bike and successor to the RC8: RC 8C.
It is a racer based on the Duke 890R with many special parts, a completely different engine mapping and hand-assembled in a limited edition of 100 pieces.
A parallel twin good for an output of 121hp and 101Nm of torque that weighs only 140kg and which would initially cost 30K euros, impressive figures, especially the latter.
For that price you get an extra set of dymag wheels, front and rear paddock stands, extra set of brake discs all around, tire warmers and a Race rug with KTM logo, but it is still expensive.
There is a lot to admire about this RC 8C: GRP carbon quick release fairing with GP wings, WP APEX Pro front and rear suspension, Brembo Stylema 290mm floating brake discs, racing dashboard with integrated data logger, fall protection, new airbox with TwinAir filter, and of course a beautiful Akrapovic exhaust make this an ultimate track tool.
