The F3 RR is the superlative of Supersport, with an 800cc three-cylinder that produces 147hp. As an extra, there is now a state-of-the-art electronics package and built-in winglets.
With a number of internal changes to the engine, MV Agusta has made the 2022 F3 RR suitable for Euro5 homologation.
DLC coating on the tappets and new valve guides for the titanium valves and other bearings around the crankshaft reduce the engine's internal friction, requiring it to use fuel more efficiently.
Combined with a new exhaust system, new fuel injectors, improved cooling and revised software, the 800cc engine now delivers a hefty 147 hp at 13,000 rpm and 88 Nm at 10,100 rpm.
MV gives a dry weight of 173 kilos, which should in any case still be a maximum of 16.5 liters of petrol.
The winglets in the new fairing increase downforce by eight kilograms at a top speed of 240 km/h.
The whole Continental system of active driver aids got the help of a new IMU, all adjustable via a 5.5 inch TFT screen with the usual gadgets: Bluetooth, mirroring, navigation, lean angle indicator and G-force meter.
A big advantage for MV Agusta is that they will have a Euro5 homologated, street-legal supersport motorcycle for the World Supersport World Championship, if the new regulations are implemented there.
