The all-new Triumph Speed Triple 1200RR was officially unveiled today, after releasing a couple of teaser videos in the last weeks.

The new Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR is derived from the very recent 1200RS and is dressed up with a bikini-like fairing, a round headlight, and Ohlins semi-active suspension.
Triumph is aiming the 1200RR to be the most high-performance , exclusive and refined Speed Triple ever.
It takes up the entire structure of the new Speed Triple 1200RS, with new aesthetics, the engine has been increased in displacement and power, lightened and mounted on a redesigned, improved and lighter chassis.

The sporty orientation begins with the different riding position : on the RR there are half-handlebars instead of the raised handlebar, the footpegs are a little higher and set back.
The result is a more aerodynamic driving position, suitable for sports driving and which loads the front end more.
The braking system is the same as on the 1200RS, 320 mm floating front twin disc with Brembo Stylema monobloc radial mount calipers and cornering ABS.
The tires become the Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3, while the frame, the frame and single-sided swingarm are all made of aluminum alloy, same as the 1200RS but lighter.
Identical to the RS is also the three-cylinder, which this year has grown from 1,050 to 1,160 cc in the search for maximum power being 180 horsepower with a maximum torque of 125 Nm at 9,000 rpm.
The weight of the RR is declared at 199 kg wet weight, or only one kg more than the naked 1200RS.

The electronic package incorporates that of the aforementioned RS. Starting with the TFT instrumentation configurable with two graphic themes and with connectivity function through the My Triumph app.
Above all, there is a new six-axis inertial platform that governs the traction control on eight levels, lateral slip , anti- wheelie and engine braking.
There are five riding modes - Rain, Road, Sport, Track and User. The selection of the driving modes is done using the joystick controls on the handlebar.
The Triumph Shift Assist , up and down gearbox is standard , which uses an advanced sensor connected to multiple parameters to optimize its operation.

The full LED headlight, with daylight, and the air intakes that surround it have a new and very distinctive appearance.
Standard equipment includes keyless ignition , backlit electric controls and cruise controls.
There are two two- tone colors of the new RR, a white base with gold trim or candy red.
