Chinese motorcycle manufacturer CFMoto has published photos of a new concept on social media. The CFMoto Vision Concept SR or SR-C21 appears to be a serious supersport bike with racing ambitions.
Judging by the photos, we can assume that the 300SR and 250SR will get a big brother.
But CFMoto has been very scant with more precise information so far. We suspect a larger KTM engine (CFMoto and KTM working together in a partnership) will be used.
It could be the same 800cc parallel twin used in the CFMoto 800MT Adventure, but this should be considered speculation at this point.
The design was developed by CFMoto R&D Europe Modena 40 and CFMoto announced on social media that it offers a small taste of what's to come.
If you look at the design, it could almost be a WorldSBK superbike.
The very large Brembo brake discs are fitted with covers in which ventilation openings are incorporated. The suspension is from Öhlins.
The footrests are placed very far back, suggesting a very sporty sitting position.
The SC Project exhaust also seems to come straight from racing. Of course, the large winglets in the front should not be forgotten.
Another visual treat is the single-sided swingarm, which defines the rear wheel perfectly.
The fact that this is likely to be a street-legal motorcycle can also be seen in the stylish light units.
You can't really speak of a headlight here, because only thin curved lighting lines can be seen at the front.
There is also a taillight on the concept bike. It is clear that a number of things will have to fall in a production version.
But if this is a harbinger of what's to come, we're very curious.
