We will start this month with KTM RC 390 MY 2022

KTM is coming with a new little racer, we learn from a recently released teaser video.
Where they presented the exclusive RC 8C last month, it is now the turn of the little brother.
On the one hand you would expect them to update the 390 to be compatible with Euro5 and that's it, on the other hand, KTM can apply the trick we see with many brands: adding extra displacement.
In the teaser film we get to see a triple clamp with low clip-ons, a color TFT screen, Bybre brakes, WP suspension and LED everywhere.
Time will tell if it is a successor to RC390 or a boy racer with more capacity.

With its three CB500 variants, Honda has scored very strongly in sales in recent years, so Honda treated them to updates.
The CB500 triplets with their parallel twins now do it with improved suspension and brakes.
The engine, a parallel twin of 471cc with 47hp was not touched, only the tuning of the injection was improved.
The three variants are now Euro 5 homologated and feature two-way ABS.
Honda also gives the CB500F and CBR500R lighter aluminum cast wheels.
The familiar aluminum multi-spoke rims were retained on the CB500X. The allroad will get a larger 19-inch front wheel.
Another major addition are the radial-mount dual Nissin calipers that squeeze 296mm discs each side.

Honda was clearly in a good mood and provided each model with fun colors:
the CBR500R is only available in 2 colors: Grand Prix Red & Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic

The CB500F is available in Matt Axis Gray Metallic, Grand Prix Red, our personal favorite Peral Dusk Yellow & Pearl Smokey Gray.

The CB500X, the allroad version is available in Grand Prix Red & Pearl Organic Green or Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic.

Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin/ Adventure Sports
We are staying with Honda for a while because they are giving the Africa Twins an update for the 2022 model year.
In addition to some specific optical updates, Honda is also adjusting the DCT automatic gearbox in first and second gear.
The CRF1100L basic model is now equipped with an aluminum luggage carrier as standard.
Colors for 2022 are
Pearle Glare White Tricolour
Grand Prix Red
Matte Ballistic Black

In addition to the DCT adjustment, the Adventure Sports version will also receive a shorter, adjustable windshield in 2022.

Colors for the Aventure Sport version are:

Pearl Glare White Tricolor

Matte Ballistic Black Metallic

More allroad news with the final presentations of the Husvarna Norden 901
Since autumn 2019, the Norden 901 concept model became a proposal and then it remained eerily quiet.
We initially expected the Norden 901 at Husqvarna dealers sometime in the course of 2020, but not so.
It is certain that the Norden 901 is really coming, although it will be a 2022 model.
To make the wait more bearable, Husqvarna has created a true documentary series.

Hopefully when watching the last episode there is also something new to be found in the Husqvarna showrooms...

And just at the last minute, Triumph also introduced its new Tiger 1200.
While they are working hard in the enduro and cross segment, the men and women from Hinckley still found the time to upgrade the Tiger 1200.
Slim and more compact, redesigned by Rodolfo Frascoli
They are not paparazzi photos, but they are official Triumph photos and concern the final stages of testing of the new Triumph Tiger 1200.
There may be 2 models, one with a 19-inch front wheel, and one with a 21-inch front wheel.
The 3 cyclinder, twin-shaft engine with 4 valves per cyclinder and ride by wire throttle management with 5 standard mappings has also become more compact.
The weight of this new Tiger would be around 230kg, which is a big improvement over the outgoing model.
We will see the final version in Milan at the EICMA
